When you click extend you and raid members will be asked to accept a lockout with 2 bosses down when you Enter, if you do that there is no turning back, all 20 are saved at 2/8, that means you cannot try zek’voz without Being saved to it.
If you started a raid with a group you have exactly that ID and cannot join another group with the same bosses (or any other number greater than 0) on a different lockout ID. Your group can even kill bosses without you and you'll find them dead if you go there at a later time.

Hi guys. just have few a quick questions about raid lockouts. i saw a topic on icyveins last week about bringing alts into a raid lockout to bypass straight to the last boss for raids like ulduar and icecrown to farm mounts. and i've been thinking about it and now that i'm on course for a full 9 days of leave from work i'm gonna try it this week. Mythic is ID based, not “loot” based like LFR, normal and heroic. meaning that if a boss dies on that lockout ID, anyone who has that lockout ID will have that boss dead, regardless if they were involved in the kill or not. The way mythic works is the same way raid lockouts worked since vanilla.

So screwing us up with regards to loot. I was under the impression that the main draw of the mythic is the weekly chest you get, but that completing the dungeon with a higher keystone grants the chest again. How does the loot system on Mythic plus work It is not settled yet how this will work out. Sorry for the basic questions, but as someone that didn't play a lot of WoD, the entire concept of Mythic (+) dungeons is new, and since that is the feature I'm most interested in for Legion, I was curious. On mythic each instance gets an ID and you cannot take your ID to some else. So sadly you cannot join their run no matter how many they have killed on Mythic. In legacy raids you have one shot at the mount per lockout. You can clear the raid once per lockout, regardless of its difficulty (since you're able to change the difficulty while you're in the raid instance). An exception are raids with the raid finder difficulty enabled (Dragon Soul and later).
